CALLED: The Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) has decided to determine whether the doctorate of the faculty members are real.
In the wake of reports that many teachers all over the country keep fake PhDs, has instructed all the KSLU 92 colleges under its umbrella to report on the number of PhDs.
Speaking to TOI, Manjunatha KSLU registrar TV said the circular is issued on the dictates of the higher education Council. "At the meeting of the Council in August 2015 had the Minister of higher education to measures to facilitate the access of us fake doctors in the leather to prevent brotherhood."
"Although January 15 is the last day, we have quick reactions of colleges received. We will collect all the data, and send the PhD-certificates for authentication. If we suspect a University, we will approach the Association of Indian universities to clarify its authenticity. If we doubt about certain University or PhD degree is recognized, we will write to the Department of higher education. "
Principals and teachers have the KSLU move welcomed.
Sharada G Patil, principal-in-charge of the GK Law College Called, said the move will be the faith of the people in the law colleges increase.
