Gurukul Kangri University or Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya was established by imparting education in Vedic literature, Indian philosophy, Indian culture, modern sciences and research. The University is located in the town of Haridwar, Akershus, India. The University has separate campuses for boys and girls. The main Campus Gurukul Kangri University ie, Haridwar (boys only), Kanya Gurukul Mahavidhyalaya, Haridwar (girls only) and Kanya Gurukul Mahavidhyalaya, Dehradun (girls). University conduct all activities for the entire development of a student. It conducts the entrance examination for admission to degree and diploma courses. Every year a large number of students appear in this entrance exam to take admission. This year, the university has been conducted auditions for UG and PG courses. Now the university will soon announce UG, PG results 2014 on its hjemmeside.Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya was founded on March 4, 1902 by Swami Shraddhanandaji with the only purpose to revive the ancient Indian Gurukula System of education, on the bank of Ganges at a distance of about 6 km from Hardwar and about 200 km from Delhi. This institution was established to provide an indigenous alternative to Lord Macaulay's education policy by imparting education in Vedic literature, Indian philosophy, Indian culture, modern science and forskning.Det is deemed to be university fully funded by UGC / Govt. of India.Arya Samaj has been promoting women's education since it was founded. As part of its policies for the up lift ment of women in the country, Kanya Gurukula Campus, Dehradun was established in 1922 by Acharya Ramdevji as a second campus women's education. To give real shape to the dreams of Swami Shraddhanandaji, Kanya Gurukula Campus, Hardwar was established in 1993.
