Exam timeline for UPSC combined stenography exam

Union Public Service Commission is all set to conduct Combined Stenography (Grade-B/Grade-I) department competitive exam on December 29, 2014. The e-admit cards are available on the website for download.

The stenography test will be conducted at Delhi centre only which will be conducted in two slots separately for English stenography and Hindi stenography. Candidates should report at their centre at 8.30 am for English Stenography and at 1.30pm for Hindi stenography test. The detailed timeline for test is given below:

Written Test Details:
The candidates will have to transcribe their shorthand notes on their allotted computer. The dictation will be provided through recorded sound played over Public Address system.

Shorthand Test (English/Hindi Medium at '100' words per minute)
Dictation- 10 minutes
Review of Dictation-10 minutes
Transcription (English)-40 minutes
Transcription (Hindi)- 55 minutes

UPSC will provide 'familiarisation mock-drill' before the actual test to the candidates during which technical help will also be provided.
