Co-operative Institute of Technology, Vadakara (CITV) is an Engineering College in Kozhikode district of Kerala, was established in 1999. It was renamed the College of Engineering, Vadakara in 2012
The first College of Engineering at the Academy of Professional Education Cooperative (Cape) , Thiruvananthapuram, established by Govt. Kerala, began operating in June 1999. College affiliated Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and approved by all India Technical Education (AICTE).
Department of mainly B-Tech in ECE programs and has a team of teachers and support staff to assist students in the process of knowledge transfer. The Department has established the following laboratories with modern gadgets:
Laboratory of advanced microprocessor
Digital & microprocessor lab
Laboratory of electronic circuits
Basic equipment / tools are available in the laboratories include CROs supply oscilloscope SMPS trainer kits, kits digital IC trainers 8085 microprocessor trainers, universal programmer, EPROM eraser, 8086 microprocessor trainer, PCs based on the microcontroller 8952, a spectrum analyzer, the coach of optical fiber, color TV trainer, DSP kits, software, MATLAB, etc.
The department is mainly responsible for the program B-Tech in EIE. The program was developed with the industrial orientation and is designed to educate engineers with exposure to modern technological practices. The main infrastructure of the Department are:
Process control laboratories
Instrument Laboratories and
Major equipment available in these laboratories include a digital storage oscilloscope, various types of converters, various bridges (trainers), based on the processor socket 50 TMS DSP kits, temperature, level, pressure and flow process coaches.
