MP Birla Institute of Fundamental Research (BIFR), Bangalore launched a short-term course in astronomy and astrophysics to have the same skills since June 2015 as the next round.
Looking at the interest shown by the students and even the general public, BIFR is carrying out a 100 hour certificate course in astronomy and astrophysics. The Director of the Institute said that the main objective of this program is to instill a popularizing science among young students of the subject and motivate them to follow a career in astronomy and astrophysics.
Is expected to provide an exposure depth technical complexities involved in the study of astronomy and astrophysics students who possess an aptitude for the subject. Also expected to establish a platform for students who want to finally seek higher education in this subject and hope more research, he said.
The first class of the course was held on 03 August and since classes are held on Sundays only until December 07.
Being a weekend program carried out for two hours Sunday night, many professionals, students are easily able to take the course is to satisfy their interests and career perspectives.
Talking about careers based on individual fitness and other qualifications required, those who successfully complete the course can take teaching positions in educational institutions such as schools, colleges and universities, where astronomy is included as part of science programs.
